今天是2010年11月29日星期一下午。我叫Sarah，我没有中文名字。我二十岁。1990年3月11日在美国，我出生，属马。我是美国人。我可以开车。现在在香港，我学习汉语。我是大学生。我的专业是人类学。我喜欢学习汉语、文化、历史、文学、美术、还有西班牙语。我不喜欢学习数学、经济、物理、化学、和哲学。

Today is Monday afternoon on November 29, 2010. My name is Sarah, I don't have a Chinese name. I am twenty years old. On March 11, 1990, I was born in the USA in the year of the horse. I am American. I can drive a car. Right now I am studying Chinese in Hong Kong. I am a college student. My major is Anthropology. I like to study Chinese, culture, history, fine arts, and Spanish. I don't like to study math, economics, physics, chemistry, and philosophy.

我不喜欢中国菜因为我不喜欢辣菜和肉。中国菜有很都肉。

Wǒ bù xǐhuan zhōngguó cài yīnwèi wǒ bù xǐhuan là cài hé ròu. Zhōngguó cài yǒu hěn dōu ròu.

I don't like Chinese food because I don't like spicy food or meat. Chinese food has a lot of meat.

我家有四口人。我爸爸，我妈妈，我妹妹和我。我没有哥哥、姐姐和弟弟。我们有一个狗，两个猫，还有两个马，当然都真可爱。我爸爸做一个工作，我妈妈做两个工作。我没有男朋友。我妹妹是大学生。她十八岁。1992年6 月8 日，她出生。 她不知道她的专业。她很喜欢美术和看书。她可以说西班牙语。

My family has four people. My dad, mom, little sister, and me. I don't have an older brother, an older sister and a younger brother. We have one dog, two cats, and two horses. Of course, they are all very cute. My dad works one job, my mom works two jobs. I don't have a boyfriend. My sister is a college student. She is 18 years old. She was born on June 8, 1992. She doesn't know her major. She really likes fine arts and reading books. She can speak Spanish.

明年，我和我的家人去Puerto Rico。我们会有我的生日聚会。 我们会吃蛋糕。我的奶奶也会参加，因为，在每冬天，她去Puerto Rico。我爸爸，妈妈和奶奶都喝红葡萄酒。我妹妹和我不喝因为我们不喜欢所以我们喝雪碧。

Míngnián, wǒ hé wǒ de jiārén qù Puerto Rico. Wǒmen huì yǒu wǒ de shēngrì jùhuì. Wǒmen huì chī dàngāo. Wǒ de nǎinai yě huì cānjiā, yīnwèi, zài měi dōngtiān, tā qù Puerto Rico. Wǒ bàba, māmā hé nǎinai dōu Hē hóng pútáojiǔ. Wǒ mèimei hé wǒ bù hē yīnwèi wǒmen bù xǐhuan suǒyǐ wǒmen hē xuěbì.

Next year, my family and I will go to Puerto Rico.  We will have my birthday party. We will eat cake. My grandmother will also attend because every winter she goes to Puerto Rico. My dad, mom and grandmother all drink red wine. My sister and I do not drink it because we do not like it so we will drink Sprite.

星期五我去商场了因为我要买东西。我买五 支笔、一本书、三本本子。给师傅一百块钱。他找我四十块七毛五分钱。我也买苹果和香蕉。我想买葡萄，可是葡萄很贵了所以我没买。

Xīngqí wǔ wǒ qù shāngchǎng le yīnwèi wǒ yāomǎi dōngxi. Wǒ mǎi wǔ zhī bǐ, yī běn shū, sān běn běnzi. Gěi shīfu yī bǎi kuài qián. Tā zhǎo wǒ sì shí kuài qī máo wǔ fēn qián. Wǒ yě mǎi píngguǒ hé xiāngjiāo . Wǒ xiǎng mǎi pútáo, kěshì pútáo hěn guì le suǒyǐ wǒ méi mǎi.

Friday, I went to the mall because I needed to buy things. I bought five pens, one book, and three notebooks. I gave the seller one hundred dollars. He gave me forty dollars and seventy-five cents in change. I also bought apples and bananas. I want to buy grapes, but grapes are very expensive so I didn't buy them. 

在美国，我常常锻炼。我跳舞和骑马。可是在香港，不可以骑马，所以我喜欢游泳。我不喜欢去体育馆。 去游泳是四块钱，很便宜！

Zài měiguó, wǒ chángcháng duànliàn. Wǒ tiàowǔ hé qímǎ. Kěshì zài xiānggǎng, bù kěyǐ qímǎ, suǒyǐ wǒ xǐhuan yóuyǒng. Wǒ bù xǐhuan qù tǐyùguǎn. Qù yóuyǒng shì sì kuài qián, hěn piányi!

In the US, I often exercise. I dance and ride horses. But in Hong Kong, I can't ride horses, so I like swimming. I don't like going to the gym. It costs four dollars to go swimming, very cheap!

去年夏天在广州，我病了。头疼了、嗓子疼了、还有有发烧了。 我和我的朋友和他的妈妈一起去看病了。我的医生没说英文所以我的朋友帮我翻译。我的医生给我中药。中药没好吃，可是有用了。

Qùnián xiàtiān zài guǎngzhōu, wǒ bìng le. Tóuténg le, sǎngzi téng le, hái yǒu yǒu fāshāo le. Wǒ hé wǒ de péngyǒu hé tā de māmā yīqǐ qù kànbìng le. Wǒ de yīshēng méi shuō yīngwén suǒyǐ wǒ de péngyǒu bāng wǒ fānyì. Wǒ de yīshēng gěi wǒ zhōngyào. Zhōngyào méi hào chī, kěshì yǒuyòng le.

Last year in Guangzhou, I got sick. I had a headache, sore throat, and a fever. My friend, his mom, and I went to the doctor (hospital). My doctor did not speak English so my friend helped me to translate. My doctor gave me Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine didn't taste good, but it was useful. 

在九点半，我起床。在十点半，我上课。我想睡觉，可是我不能睡觉因为在下午我有课。今晚上在十点半，我应该睡觉。

Zài jiǔ diǎn bàn, wǒ qǐchuáng. Zài shí diǎn bàn, wǒ shàngkè. Wǒ xiǎng shuìjiào, kěshì wǒ bùnéng shuìjiào yīnwèi zài xiàwǔ wǒ yǒu kè. Jīn wǎn shàng zài shí diǎn bàn, wǒ yīnggāi shuìjiào.

At 9:30, I got up. At 10:30, I had class. I want to sleep, but I can't sleep because I have class this afternoon. Tonight at 10:30, I should sleep. 

2010年12月11日我会回美国。我非常兴奋。在美国很冷所以我会要多穿衣服。

2010 nián 12 yuè 11 rì wǒ huì huí měiguó. Wǒ fēicháng xīngfèn. Zài měiguó hěn lěng suǒyǐ wǒ huì yào duō chuān yīfú.

On December 11, 2010, I will return to the US. I am very excited. In the US, it is very cold so I will need to wear more clothes.

我知道写一百五十个汉字。写汉字很难。 写英文很容易。

I know how to write 150 Chinese characters. Writing in Chinese is hard. Writing in English is very easy.

I have my Chinese exam on Wednesday so I decided to try and write about myself using as much of the vocabulary I have learned this semester as I could. That is why what I wrote is so random. I posted this so my family could see how much Chinese I have learned in three months. 

I am positive there are mistakes and I hope that no one takes offense to that. I don't know who actually reads this, but if you speak Chinese and notice a mistake, please let me know! The only way to learn is to make mistakes and fix them!!
