In the morning, I rushed to school for Chinese class while Mom and Grandmother went to the Hong Kong Art Museum. They had a great time there, but wished the contemporary art section had been open. I met them at the museum after my class and we took the Star Ferry across to the Hong Kong side so we could catch bus 6x to Stanley on the southern part of Hong Kong island.
We sat up top on the double decker buses and Mom got a bit freaked out by how fast the bus driver drove. When we got there, we saw another temple and then headed in search for some lunch.
We went to a nice restaurant, Wildfire, in Murray house (the old British barracks). We each got a Mocktail (there was a sale on them). Mom got mango, Grandmother got lychee, and I got one called vangria (grape juice, orange juice, and lemonade). Grandmother and I had delicious pizzas and Mom had some halibut. Then for dessert they ate passionfruit mousse and I had sticky toffee pudding (yummmmmmm).
While walking along the waterfront, we saw lots of couples there for wedding photographs (at least 6-7 couples). We also saw people shooting a movie, commercial, tv show (not sure what). There was a beautiful golden retriever participating the shoot.
Then we did some shopping in the market and took the bus back into the city. We grabbed some Subway sandwiches for dinner and took the ferry back across the harbor so we could sit and watch the Symphony of Lights.
After returning to the hotel, Mom and I attempted to go for a swim, but then the pool was closed! So instead we all played rummy with Mom's new tourist Hong Kong playing cards. Of course Mom always won. I should have learned by now never to play rummy with her.
