So I just spent an insane amount time updating about Japan (procrastination makes things take so much longer) and I haven't finished the work I need to do. I really need to write a letter of recommendation for my adviser. He requested that I write one because he's up for a promotion and tenure. He has written so many recommendations for me that I really want the one I write to be brilliant since it is extremely important to his career. Only... I have no clue how to write a letter of recommendation for anything, let alone tenure.
Today was a really busyyyy day. I unpacked and cleaned my room. I picked up my new student id. I printed out my absentee ballot, voted, and then mailed the ballot. I went to two grocery stores to restock up on food. And on top of everything else I did and a late night last night, my day started at 8:30. Again. Because these chanting things are still going. Apparently they will continue another month. It. Is. So. Annoying. I understand they are promoting, but isn't there another way to do that?!
Anyway, I love it when people do small, but really nice things. Today when I was coming back from the international grocery store, I was forced to sit in a seat that had water on it. A young school boy who sat next to me noticed the awkward position I was sitting in in order to avoid the water and dug a pack of tissues out of his pocket to let me use to wipe it up.
My grandmother and mom are coming soon!! I can't wait. It is nice to have things to look forward to.
Well I should be going to bed since I have another long day tomorrow. So much to do, but so little time!
