Last Weekend in Hong Kong

I guess it's kind of sad to say that I didn't really do much on my last weekend in Hong Kong. Yesterday I went to the Ladies Market in Mongkok to buy somethings that my mom asked me to buy. Then I took the subway back into the New Territories and decided to go to Tuen Mun to the international grocery store, Taste. I bought some burrito makings and then came back to Lingnan. It wasn't that exciting but I did take some photographs inside Tuen Mun Town Centre to show some of the Christmas decorations and just how crowded it is all the time.

Yes, there is more than one phase in this gigantic monstrosity of a shopping center.

So crowded. It gets even worse at night.

Today I did some laundry and started packing. I have a really horrible suspicion that my baggage will be overweight and then I will have to pay extra fees for it. I really hope not but it's hard to tell because I don't have a scale to weigh my bags. I also studied a little bit for my Hong Kong's Heritage exam on Tuesday. Right now I am watching "My Life as McDull," a Hong Kong animation about a pig (trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwtYPmVeFTU). I know there's a lot of deeper meanings about what it means to live in Hong Kong, but I am having a hard time catching on because of the English translation and the fact that I am not from here. I had already watched "McDull: Prince de la Bun" for my presentation on postmodernism in Hong Kong Popular Culture class. But our professor also asked us to watch "My Life as McDull" for the class and I am worried there will be a question about it on the exam, so here I am watching it and trying not to fall asleep.

This week won't be that exciting because I have to pack and prepare for two exams. I am very excited to go home. I heard it was snowing at home and is quite cold. Here it is in the eighties. I am going to freeze when I get home!
