Special Message for my Sister

This is just a short little message for my little sister who at this time should be waking up and moving into college today! I wish I was there to go with the rest of my family to Goucher to help her move in. I know she is not that excited about leaving home and I understand exactly how she feels.
Elizabeth, I know you are shy and worried about making new friends. Don't worry about that! You are a very nice, funny, and interesting person! You will find friends very easily. Just don't lock yourself away in your room, which will seem like the easiest option. It is going to be hard the first few weeks, but everyone else will be in the same boat as you. They all will be feeling awkward and trying hard to make friends (though some may not show it). Remember, whenever you are lonely (and the time difference allows it) we can skype. I miss you! Have a blast and enjoy your orientation and first few days of classes! Remember how I felt when I first got to Hong Kong? I was miserable and terribly homesick. Well it got better (not now of course, because I'm sick, but if you get really sick, home is nearby). Have faith in yourself. Have confidence. And have sooo much fun! Home will always be there for us. It is time for us to both go out and experience new things. I will see you in December! I love you!
Woke her up with Skype this morning!
